We could not wait to share the exciting news that Zorra is now a first time mom with beautiful, healthy puppies! She did it, and she was so natural with laboring, birthing, and taking care of her sweet babies. Two puppies arrived on January 2nd, and the remaining 2 puppies arrived early morning on January 3rd.
Around 9:30 Matt and I joined Zorra near her whelping box where she excessively began nesting. She was also having noticeable contractions and began pushing. We reassured her she was the best mama and continued giving her love and affection when she needed it. At 10:55 pm on Jan 2nd Zorra became a mom for the very first time. We immediately helped Zorra by picking up her baby and taking it back to the whelping box where Zorra tended to her baby so well. 35 minutes later at 11:30 pm, Zorra welcomed her 2nd pup. We knew there was at least one more pup based on the x-ray from the week prior. 90 Minutes later her 3rd baby was born at 1:00 am. 8 minutes later her last and final pup was born at 1:08 am. Zorra was such a champ while she delivered her four babies.

The second puppy born was also a black male (Thunder)
The third puppy born is a black female (Rain)
The fourth and final puppy born is a yellow female (Snow)
